Carly first met Colton at a Levine Children's Teen Advisory Board function. He was playing basketball and threw a wild one which landed squarely on Carly's head. They both thought it was hilarious! Carly will never forget that memory of Colton.
Izzy wasn't feeling well when Michelle visited him while he was inpatient. His aunt was there and put Michelle in touch with Izzy's mom. Izzy was her only child.
We felt a strong connection with Madison and her mom, and kept in touch with them while Madison was going through treatment. It was a very somber day when we found out that Madison passed away.
Ian passed away suddenly, before we were able to get his BJ's Battle Bag to him. Ian, we met your mom, dad, and little sister. We know you'll be watching over them!
Samuel was the son of Michelle's former co-worker. He passed away before we could get his BJ's Battle Bag to him, so we filled the bag with toys, games, and crafts that his siblings would enjoy.
We met Mikey and his mom while they were inpatient to give him his BJ's Battle Bag. He was excited about the soccer ball. We will never forget you, Mikey!
Devin battled leukemia more times than anyone should; he fought so hard from a young age but the beast kept coming back. Roar, Devin. We will never forget your beautiful smile.
Alli Hodges designed our 2019 March Forth run t-shirt. We weren't able to meet her because she was in the PICU when we chose her design. Our friend and "Reiki lady", Miri, took the gift bag to Alli who was excited to hear that she won. Her design was placed on hundreds of race t-shirts. We'll never forget you, Alli.
Little Nash was only 9 months old when he passed away from cancer.
A friend contacted SFWF after hearing about Braylan's leukemia diagnosis. He was diagnosed on Friday and we had started preparing to get information on his favorite things for his BJ's Battle Bag. We were devastated upon hearing that Braylan passed away on Sunday.
Judd was local star baseball player and senior at West Lincoln High School, when he was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma. #JuddStrong
